Application of soil testing equipment

Soil testing instruments are primarily used in agricultural planting and environmental monitoring.

In precision fertilization and nutrient management, soil testing instruments can quickly detect soil nutrients to guide scientific fertilization, achieving "supplementing what is lacking." In Jiangsu's rice-growing areas, after applying the equipment, fertilizer utilization increased from 35% to 45%, saving 80 yuan per mu (approximately 0.16 acres). In Sichuan, citrus growers used the equipment to detect magnesium deficiency in the soil; after timely supplementation with magnesium fertilizer, the fruit setting rate of the following year increased by 40%, resulting in an additional 5,000 yuan per mu.

In soil pollution remediation and treatment, soil testing instruments can be used to quickly locate polluted areas and guide remediation projects. In Zhejiang, a tea garden was found to have excessive heavy metals; after adopting bioremediation technology, the tea's compliance rate increased from 60% to 98%.

In the scientific selection of crop varieties, the equipment can analyze soil characteristics to recommend the most suitable crop varieties for specific plots. The Inner Mongolia Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau used the equipment to analyze saline-alkali land, screening out salt-tolerant alfalfa varieties, increasing forage yield by three times.

In agricultural disaster early warning and prevention, the equipment can be used to provide early warnings for disasters such as flooding and salinization by continuously monitoring key indicators such as soil moisture and electrical conductivity. Before the torrential rains in North China in 2023, a cooperative in Hebei Province used the equipment data to drain water in advance, thus avoiding the total loss of 200 mu (approximately 33 acres) of corn.
