Description of Product
This method permits engineers to collect rock samples from rock outcrops or boreholes, identify the directional attitude of fracture surfaces, and then install and carry out shear tests on these discontinuities inside the shear box.
The device features a diagonally split box structure. Its upper section is fitted with a vertical ram to deliver compressive loads, while the lower part is equipped with two horizontal rams to provide bidirectional shearing movement. The loading force generated by the horizontal ram acts along the central axis of the box and aligns with the specimen's discontinuity plane. Hand-driven hydraulic pumps supply pressure to actuate all rams.
